Tirana (albanski: Tiranë ili Tirana) je glavni i najveći grad Albanije. Po zvaničnim procenama ima 353.400 stanovnika (2003.), mada druge procene navode znatno veći broj – čak do 1.000.000. Tirana je osnovana 1614, a postala je glavni grad 1920 godine.

Tirana se nalazi na reci Išm, i glavni je albanski industrijski i kulturni centar. Glavne industrijske grane su poljoprivredna, tekstilna, farmaceutska i metalska. Tirana je doživela veliki rast i uspostavila mnogo novih industrijskih grana od 1920-ih.

Tirana /tɨˈrɑːnə/ (Albanian: Tiranë, Tirana or Tirona) is the capital and the largest city of Albania. Modern Tirana was founded as an Ottoman town in 1614 by Sulejman Bargjini, a local ruler from Mullet, although the area has been continuously inhabited since antiquity. Tirana became Albania’s capital city in 1920 and has a population of 421,286, with metro area population of 763,634. The city is home to many universities and is the center of the political, economical, and cultural life of the country.
